The date originates from multiple countries over Europe, Africa, Asia, America and Australia. Dates are fruits from the date palm of the palm family (Palmae, Arecacea). The fruit is single seeded, oval golden yellow to brownish red and is about the size of a plum. 

When stored correctly, the shelf life of this product is up to 12 months from production. Storage is recommended at 40F with low relative humidity.
